Frequently asked questions:
How do you remove hair with a Laser Hair Removal treatment?
We use the Biotec Xlase CPL and Nd-Yag machine, a grade 4 medical laser using CPL and not IPL, which generates focused light to penetrate the epidermis of the skin and target the underlying hair. The hair's pigment absorbs the light and is destroyed meaning it is instantly removed and further growth is hindered, leaving the skin with a smooth appearance.
Which parts of the body can you treat?
We are fully trained and qualified to treat all areas of the body including
- Face including top lip, chin, jaw line and neck
- Legs and bikini line
- Underarms and arms
- Back and shoulders
- Chest, nipples and abdomen
What is the difference between Electrolysis and Laser Hair Reduction?
Electrolysis uses a needle shaped electrode or metal plate against the skin to destroy the hair. Laser hair rmoval machines use focused light to penetrate the epidermis of the skin and target the underlying hair. The hair's pigment absorbs the light and is destroyed meaning it is instantly removed and further growth is hindered, leaving the skin with a smooth appearance. Laser hair removal, unlike electrolysis, does not touch the skin and is regarded by many as the most effective and least painful method to treat unwanted hair.
How long should I allow for the treatment?
Laser hair removal treatments take from 10 minutes to about 40 minutes depending on the size of area being treated.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments will vary between patients depending on skin colour, hair colour, texture and density, medical history, the area being treated and how the patient responds to treatments. Be assured we will ensure you can easily budget for your treatment.
Will I see immediate results?
You could well see noticeable results after your first treatment. However hair grows at different stages hence why a number of treatments may be required to ensure all hair is removed
What is the cost of each treatment?
Treatment costs range from just £35 per session for upper lip (£210 for a course of 6 treatments) For a full price list please contact us or go to the price list page. laser treatment prices
