Migraines

A migraine is a moderate to extreme headache which feels like a throbbing sensation on one side of the head. Along with this pain, sufferers can also experience a sensitivity to sounds and light as well as suffering with nausea.

Common Causes

Migraines do not have one distinctive cause. However, there are a variety of factors that can bring them on such as:
- Momentary changes in the chemicals. nerves and blood vessels in the brain, can prompt a migraine to occur.
- Genetics; Your relatives may experience migraines and therefore you may be more likely to experience the condition too.
- Periods, tiredness, and stress can trigger a migraine attack to take place.
- Poor eye sight may cause you to strain your facial muscles often, due to squinting and frowning.
- Dehydration and certain food and drinks can also provoke a migraine.
- Excessive exposure to bright lights in people who are hypersensitive to light
- Medications or pre-existing medical conditions.
