Chemical Peel

When it comes to skin care, one size does not fit all. The reality of vastly varied skin profiles means there is not one perfect formula for younger, clearer and brighter looking skin.

Our peelings systems contain different AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and TCA (Trichloroacetic Acids)-including combinations where the most appropriate acids have been selected for particular skin issues. AHAs are the most gentle of the chemical peels penetrating only the top layer. These peels increase cell turnover and renewal rates and are water loving so they’re great for oily, acne prone skins and for unclogging pores.

These peels can remove blemishes and fade sunspots and hyperpigmentation and are also great for women with fine lines and wrinkles. TCA peels penetrate deeper than AHA peels making them a good choice for women with acne-scarring or pigmentation issues.

Additionally, we have a special presentation called Enerpeel® EL (Eyes and Lips) that is designed specifically for the peri-ocular (the eye socket) and the peri-labial (around the lip) areas, known as the two age defining areas. With our peels, each is individually tailored to skin type and skin age.

Our peels causes minimal surface trauma, which means you will experience less peeling, sensitivity and erythema (redness) in the days after your treatment. Some treatments will cause more peeling than others, this depends on how deep the peel is and what acid is used.

When delivered correctly, after careful assessment of your skin, peels are not painful, you will likely experience mild tingling and a little heat. There is minimal downtime with usually only very mild dryness and flaking. We give you a home kit to follow your in clinic peel which will complement your treatment and results.

Treatment options include a one off to boost skin or a treatment every 4-6 weeks to maintain healthy skin. For treatment of pigmentation or acne, a course of 3-6 is suggested.

Any post procedure effects are often minimal in terms of downtime, you may get some “micro crusting” – which appears like dry skin. We titrate your treatment depending on your previous treatment results and we always start “gently”. For the best effect we recommend preparing your skin with at home use medical grade products, which will improve your results and skin tolerability to the treatment.
